a couple that some people in the obama administration and here in the pentagon thought were a little bit suspect. they had the inspector general here at the pentagon launching an investigation. after this exhausted investigation which was finally concluded and it was determined that general allen was involved in no misconduct, no inappropriate language or communications with this socialite, he was cleared of that. in the meantime, his nomination to be the supreme allied commander of europe had been put on hold. the white house has not yet although they support allen has not yet sent that nomination back to the hill and we are told that general allen may not and is strongly considering withdrawing from the nomination because he doesn't want to resurrect that controversy and put he and his family through it. one other thing. there may be family health issues involved here. again, he has not met with president obama and we are told that if president obama tries to talk him into it to go ahead and accept the nomination that it is likely that general allen would decline. >> thank you very
